I enjoy being a staff writer for 3BL Media/Justmeans on topics - Social Innovation, Social Enterprise and Social Entrepreneurs. When I am not writing for 3BL Media/Justmeans, I wear my other hat as owner of Serendipity PR. Over the years I have worked with high-profile, big, powerful brands and organisations within the public, not-for-profit and corporate sectors; and won awards from my industry. I believe in the power of serendipity for business and superheroes. I also am a Twitter lover and believe that social media is a digital constellation:connecting people in an easily explored galaxy. I would also describe myself as a Spiritual Entrepreneur, Conscious Explorer and Futurist. I enjoy helping others, paying it forward and being a mum.

(3BL Media/Justmeans) - One of the New Year headlines has been that Colorado has made history by becoming the first to allow retail stores to sell cannabis. As many as 30 stores around the state have started to sell the drug for recreational purposes from 1 January 2014. Colorado and Washington are among 20 states to have approved marijuana use for medical purposes, although the drug is still illegal under federal law. Globally, the debate about legalising marijuana is always a heated one, with opposing views. There is also a big environmental concern.

Cultivating marijuana indoors, as most...

(3BL Media/Justmeans) - Last year, in April 2013, Mars Chocolate signed the United Nations Women's Empowerment Principles to further its commitment to the empowerment of women in the cocoa sector. As part of its pledge Mars has released a gender assessment focused on women cocoa farmers in Cote d'Ivoire. (3BL Media/Justmeans) - By the time you read this we will have unwrapped our presents and Christmas would be over. We would be looking to 2014 and all the possibilities the New Year has to bring—though there is one place in the world right now where Christmas did not happen and there’s little hope for the year ahead. It’s the Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan, where hundreds of thousands of displaced children and adults are suffering from the start of the winter snow storms. Fighting in Syria between government forces and opposing groups continues to escalate, causing widespread death, injury and displacement. The ...
